From June 1 to July 10, you can view the midnight sun about 800 meters above sea level on the mountain Dundret, about a 20-minute drive from central Gällivare. In clear weather, you can see one-eleventh of Sweden's surface and the mountain peaks at Kebnekaise. After July 10 to August, it is still light outside during the evenings and nights.
