Geologins dag

Den 13 september är det åter dags att uppmärksamma Geologins Dag i Gällivare!

I år arrangeras evenemanget för första gången på Gällivare Kulturmuseum. Under dagen finns geologer från LKAB på plats för att guida besökare genom museets omfattande mineralsamling. Du har också möjlighet att ta med en egen sten hemifrån och få hjälp att identifiera vilka mineral den innehåller. Utöver mineralidentifiering erbjuds spännande aktiviteter för nyfikna i alla åldrar, en chans att grotta ner sig i geologins fascinerande värld och få en fördjupad förståelse för mineralfyndigheterna i Norrbotten.

(EN) On 13 September, it's time to celebrate Geology Day in Gällivare! This year, the event will be held for the first time at the Gällivare Kulturmuseum. During the day, geologists from LKAB will be on site to guide visitors through the museum's extensive mineral collection. You can also bring your own rock from home and get help identifying the minerals it contains. In addition to mineral identification, there will be exciting activities for curious minds of all ages, a chance to dive into the fascinating world of geology and gain a deeper understanding of the mineral deposits in Norrbotten. Coffee and refreshments will be served!
